Can you post details about the changes to Immigration Rules related to 'Changing or switching Immigration Status While in the UK?

I wish to enquire:

- whether I need to get my qualifications assessed by NARIC before submitting my application,

- whether it is essential to submit original certificates, or attested photocopies will suffice.

Thanks in advance

www.hsmp-services.co.uk said...

Hi,

You may not need to get your qualifications validated through NARIC if you have studied for a recognised course / degree from an established university as it would normally be in the NARIC database.

As regards the certificates you MUST submit the originals. Only in cases where you do not have the original or you need original on day to day basis, you should send Notarized Photocopies

We hope this help you

Anonymous said...

Hi Friend,

Many thanks! Isn't there a risk in sending originals... as they can be lost, misplaced, or damaged? Can notarized photocopies be submitted, with undertaking that originals will be produced when required?

Thanks again..... and have a nice day!

Anonymous said...

Hi,

IT is better to send the originals and if you are woried about safe return of your documents, please use the courier facility offered by www.hsmp-services.co.uk because in most countries notary expenses are also very high

Dear Sir,
I really appreciate the cause for which this site has been developed and processed. I also commend the cause for which we all give our time to understand a concept in a better way.
My query is that does the change in occupation (under which the case is filed)in any way hampers the chances of getting visa?
Thanx in advance for a sincere reply.

Dear Akash,

When you say change in occupation, are you referring to change in occupation after reaching the UK under HSMP or are you referring to change of occupation while your HSMP application is under process?

I think it would helps others to know your queries better if you give clear details.

Guys, many thanks for the information you have provided here. I have a few questions regarding the HSMP program:

1. Should I put my before-tax or after-tax earnings in the section 3 “Past earnings from your work?”

2. What exchange rate should I use to calculate my earnings in GBP, given that I’ve been paid in USD? Can I only use the current rate or historical rates?

3. What evidence should I provide to prove that I can speak English? Would an MBA from a recognized b-school in the US be sufficient? Do I have to take a standardized English test in addition to that? If so, should it be IELTS or TOEFL or something else?

4. What if the university, where I did my bachelor’s, is not in the NARIC database, but the business school, where I got my MBA, is recognized by NARIC? Would it be sufficient if I just provide my MBA and undergrad transcripts and notarized copies of the diplomas, or should I somehow validate my bachelor’s degree with NARIC. If the latter is the case, what should I do to validate my diploma?

5. I am comparing this program to similar programs run by Canadian and Australian officials. My first impression is that this program less competitive compared to the other two. I can easily score the required points and get most of the support documents. The process is fairly straightforward. The processing doesn’t take much time (about 6 months compared to about 4 years in Canada, for instance). My questions in this regard are as follows:
-Where is the catch? Is it that most of the applicants, who can score at least 65 points, fail afterwards? If so, why?
- Do you expect the number of required points and/or the processing time to increase in the near future due to the high demand? For instance, for the Canadian immigration program both the processing time and the number of points have been increasing because of the growing number of applications.
-What are the benefits of hiring an immigration attorney/consultant to help prepare the application and all the other documents? The requirements seem to be fairly straightforward, so my current impression is that there’s no need to hire a third party. Could you please give me your thoughts on this matter? Why should I spend extra money on consultants?

Regards
Nick, Kazakhstan
PS. Happy holidays :)

Please, I'm having problem downloading the HSMP form. Could you help by downloading and sending to my email account. I'd like to see the contents and then make up my mind on whether to use a Proffessional Immigrant Personnel.

My email address is: dozieud@yahoo.co.uk

If you are considering using professional representation then why would you need the forms? A decent HSMP consultant will do that for you based on the information and evidence that is provided.

I have applied for HSMP from here. I am a cima student . Is it posible to switch in to HSMP from here itself? I have not completed my course. Is it possible to go back to my home country and get the visa stamped from my home country consulate once home office approved my hsmp work permit?

Hello,

I got HSMP Clearance but i am in a quandry whether to take my wife and kid with me or should I go first and then after getting a decent job call them to UK.

Is it possible to migrate to UK without wife because I have claimed points of her qualification.

HI, iam applying from Nigeria. seeking for an exemption or waiver for sending original documents .

Please note the following:

In the event of changing jobs, applying to schools and so on , majority of employers and institution want to sight original douments, and since HSMP application processing takes a while, oppourtunities of jobs or schools may be lost because original documents will then be with the HSMP TEAM, I BELIEVE NOTORISED Copies should be acceptable, may be expensive but at least the originals will be with respective owners.

Using couriers may seem safe in the event of loss consideration but yet not totally safe, my husband and i had an experience when we applied for uk visiting visa's, even though our application was granted avital original office document was not returned, imagine if it was a certificate which is seemingly irrepaceble.

Kindly consider these as i am of the opinion that not considering applications accompanied with copies of credentials or supporting document is premature.

Copies can be verified after the application has been considered and accepted.

since an acceptance does not neccessirily mean the individual has totally qualified, your gudiance notes explains that some other processes are involved at which stages i believe applicant can be invited and original copies sighted.

Also assume all schools indiviuduals apply to require original documents, then applicants will be limited to only one school application at a time which limits his or her chance.

tHink this issue be reconsidered and i will appreciate a response as soon as possible.

My application is due to be sent next week and this issue is of great concern to me. thanks.

My email address is adejokade@mtnnigeria.net

Hi www.hsmp-services.co.uk

After reading a good blog I tend to analyze it to see what the person behind it might be like.

I've been in the goal setting business a while now and just like most people with experience in different areas of expertise, I can tell a lot about a person just by speaking to them or reading something they've written.

You haven't wrtten any goals on paper for awhile have you? And if you have I'll bet you haven't looked at them for a long time. Right?

Goal setting is hard work, and harder still if you don't have short range goals, mid range goals and long range goals.

I think you'll agree that few people really take the time to set goals of any kind.

When is the last time you really thought about setting some real goals, or are you like the vast majority of people who just "hope for the best"?

You already know successful people aren't "just lucky", they know how to set effective goals and reach them.

I was like that once, you might be also.

How about changing all that.

Come on over to goals+ and learn exactly how to set effective goals, act on them and be the real you.

There's a ton of FREE information and who knows, this little insert in your blog might well change your life!

Happy New Year!

Hi
I am planning to apply HSMP shortly. My query is, I have a long name because of which, in most of my documents like educational certificates, income tax forms etc, it is printed in different forms like abbreviated name, partial name and in documents like passport complete name has been printed. In this case how do I prove my Identity? In other words, how would I prove all these names belong to me?

Thanks
Ram

I have a Masters' degree from an independent UK institution. I want to find out if my university should be accredited by NARIC before I can get points for HSMP application

Thank you

Hello,
I'm pursuing MBA in the UK and am planning to apply for HSMP in the due course. I'm from India and my last gross salary was about GBP 8700 per annum.

I read the revised guideline for HSMP points scheme and the footnote for the points awarded for previous earnings said: "Points for this attribute are calculated as follows: non-sterling currency is converted to Sterling; the Sterling figure is then converted
to points taking account of the relative difference in the level of earnings between countries."

According to me, this means that they will take into account that earnings in India for an equivalent position cannot match that in the UK. Am I correct? If yes, could you comment about any conversion formula?

Regards,
Kaustubh
